hi im a final year student and i have just completed my RHCE. im thinking of developing a webmail server on linux platform, but the problem is that i dont know how to go abt the project.

can i use java for developing a webmail server. also do i have to install any rpm for it to run. i have yet to run java on linux distributions.

can anyone out there help me how to get through the project. thanks a million in advance. i would really appreciate some help.

  1. I would look into How To Forge. There are plenty of tutorials out there to setup linux based web servers
  2. . How is it if you passed your RHCE exam, yet you're not aware of how to start building a linux web server...

Side note: Unfortunately what you're asking is not really feasible in a forum style environment. Nor are most people going to be happy that you're essentially asking for them to to do your homework, when it seems like you've done no legwork at all. You might try looking into this yourself, and then coming back with some more specific questions.
