I know this is an old post but it's the same issue I'm having and the suggested fix (GNOME Tweaks) is longer available in Ubuntu 22.04/GNOME 42.2.
I don't find the Activities menu at all useful and it keeps popping open when I don't want it to (like when I click-drag to select a bunch of files and release the button with the cursor over the menu). The GNOME Tweak tool no longer has an option for hot corners and the Top Bar section only provides options for date and time settings.
Is there any way to get rid of this menu in Ubuntu 22.04/GNOME 42.2?
UPDATE
Based on some of the references above, I tried running the command but it didn't solve my problem:
Quote:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface enable-hot-corners false

Also, the Extensions page for the No TopLeft Hot Corner extension says the extension is no longer needed because of the command I tried above.
