How to make a touch pad from another ASUS laptop model work.
Hello.
My laptop is ASUS Vivobook 15 K513E and I have replaced the original touch pad with one from ASUS Vivobook GO 15 E1504FA recently. So, it doesn't work when OS is running, but it works in BIOS. I think that I need to install a driver for it and here is a problem. I don't know what driver to install, because I can't see what touch pad is it (synaptics, elan or something else). By the way, my OS is Debian 11 (bullseye). Here is the output from xinput command: Code:
$ xinput list Can anyone tell me what I have to do in this situation? Maybe I'm digging in the wrong place. Thank you for trying to help! |
Have you tried updating the firmware for the new touchpad? If not, see this link.
