Newbie
Hello everyone! This 76 year old Chaplain wishes to learn at the knee of the Masters of this art "LINUX". My intent is to take one of my Dell Inspiron laptops, remove MS and build a good Linux machine. I was born many, many years before any of this tech was invented. I suppose like others, VIC20 was my first, then C64, then IBM AT followed by PDP11's. I hope to grow and prosper by following in your foot steps on this forum. Thank-you for having me. Chap Gary

Welcome aboard. :)
Never too late to learn, you just have to unthink Microsoft... :D |
Wonderful Welcome
Thank-you all for the very kind and warm reception. I have every confidence that this forum is where I need to be as I learn to learn some new tricks. BTW, OLD DOGS can learn new things. We just have problems remembering where we buried them! Again Thank-YOU!

Welcome to Linux.
I started with the TI99/4a then on to the Commodore 64. Later, I was married to Windows from 95 until 7 and left for a MAC Tiger until El Capitan. Mandrake 10 was my first Linux experience then DSL. Debian is now the favorite. The forum is a really good place and I'm sure you'll learn a lot here. |
