Plank dock in MLED - is it possible to launch a new window as default?

I really like to new default plank dock in MLED; unfortunately one thing annoys me, which is that it will always go to already open windows, which is not what I want for terminals.

Looking at the settings file of plank I see no obvious way to force "Open in new window" for a specific launcher. Is there a possible solution for this?

This has been bothering me a little bit as well in the beginning, but that's only a small price to pay to have a rather intelligent behaviour with all the other applications. Now I just click on the Terminal that's already launched and go for Open New Terminal or Open New Tab.

Eventually, file a bug report with the Plank developers, but don't expect too much.

Cheers,

Niki

Thanks for clarifying that this is indeed expected behavior for Plank. I've solved it by setting up a keybinding to open a terminal window instead in the keyboard settings. Much more practical.

btw) I essentially did what you described already, but it got annoying to have to jump to a terminal on another workspace, just to open a new window with Ctrl-Shift + N.

I think other People searched also for the same and this is Pretty far up at google.

And I found an easier way for that.

Press Ctrl+(Click the Icon in the Plank Dock)
