MX Linux contains a service named 'MX Package Installer' - I like it and use it often.
About wine there is more options for installation. I can not decide which of them to use ...

winehqWiine-9.0 looks like the one. The biggest one, anyhow. You want ≥wine-9.0 because otherwise you have to fart about adding 32bit libraries for 32bit programs.
playonlinux is a graphical frontend tool for wine
winetricks is a script to help configure some Windows programs
wine-staging is an experimental testing area that contains some bug fixes and features not yet released.
wine64 runs only on 64 bit computers.
I am not a big fan of flatpaks. Look at the winehq database and see if there is an entry for the applications you desire to run. Hopefully someone has entered some information with the version of wine. I would use that to judge whether or not to install version 8 or 9. You might find that your applications do not run at all.
Here are the results. III looks like it would run but nothing recent for II so I have no idea except to try and see what happens. I don't see any advantage of installing 9 at the moment.
