cant update arch linux


hello can someone tell me whats wrong with arch todah cant update system

Hi...

The first entry here looked promising until I clicked on it and received this error message. I did a search to see if the thread got moved but I didn't see it listed. Hopefully, it might appear later.

If you are using Arch, you must read the news they publish.

thanks folks for the help I cant get into arch linux forum to register as it wont accept the code thing to join

I wonder if this has something to do with it? Either way, you can visit their freenode site and see if they can help you there. There is also a list of their staff here, in case that doesn't work.

its the registration process for the arch forum that I cant get to work ,its the answer to stop spam that I am having trouble with it wont work for me

Well I guess I was using Arch even if I installed it as Apricity I still didnt know I had to read the news. nevertheless I am better informed now.

I had the same problem - thanks to syg00 posting this link https://www.archlinux.org/ I found that the package ttf-dejavu requires a forced upgrade

Code:
pacman -S --force ttf-dejavu
after that I was able to

Code:
pacman -Syu
without error
