grub-install: error: will not proceed with blocklists

Hello everyone,
I was trying to install grub for arch on my harddrive when I got the error stated in the subject of this thread. Instead of stopping I continued typing in the other commands that I got from a youtube video and booted from my hard drive but I just got "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key". Is it possible to install grub at this point without having to do the whole process again and make it work? Thanks in advance!

I'd say it's possible to install grub at any point. Not sure what you mean by "whole process"; if you mean the Archlinux installation process, I would say everything you have done until Grub installation should still be there.

However, a quick glance at https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=225407 makes me wonder whether your Grub problem is caused by something you did (or didn't do) at an earlier stage, i.e. you may have to redo an earlier step.
