I really want to try Arch, is it hard to fix the fonts?

I am currently using Fedora and love the fonts, they are the best I've ever seen. I have everything working now in Fedora, sound, mp3's, printer, dvd, and my usb camera, but Gnome seems sluggish, is it any faster in Arch? I have successfully installed Gentoo in the past, but it took alot of help from this and the gentoo boards. I guess I'm asking if its hard to fix the fonts, and if Arch is significantly faster than Fedora, especially using Gnome? Thanks

fedora uses bitstream vera fonts which arch installs with xfree
personally i dont have any issues with arch and responsiveness
another thing with arch is when you install gnome you will be left with a standard gnome install, not a hacked up version as on fedora

Thanks for the help, I read the other thread about ugly fonts and it seemed difficult (to me) to fix. Its probably not all that hard to do. Thanks
