I had the same problem.
I couldn't install centos 7 only centos 8. I'm still looking for a solution to this problem. I haven't tried installing Rocky7, I'll do that in the future.

No, thanks; not going to chase down threads from other forums. If you have a question/problem, then post it here in your own thread; don't hijack someone elses, especially when
the situation for the OP is far different. They are using hardware that they won't specify, trying to install custom kernels with custom modules for custom devices. And they won't provide details about any of it.

I wasn't using a custom kernel, I downloaded the ISO from the official website and was trying to install it on a regular desktop with an i7-12700K processor.
