How to move taskbar to bottom of screen in CentOS 7?

I've been using CentOS 7 for the first time and am having some trouble with Gnome 3. In Gnome 2 under CentOS 6, I set the main taskbar to appear at the bottom of the screen, and in addition I added the main window list panel on to this same taskbar, just to the right of my list of application launcher icons. This is trivial to setup in Gnome 2 but I have struggled to configure the same layout in Gnome 3. I can't even get the main application taskbar to align to the bottom of the screen.

Does anyone know the trick?

Hi,

this is likely not possible in Gnome 3. For all but the most trivial customizations in Gnome 3 you'll likely need to use extensions. See https://extensions.gnome.org/

My browser issues this complaint when I go to this link:

We cannot detect a running copy of GNOME on this system, so some parts of the interface may be disabled. See our troubleshooting entry for more information.

Is this an issue that needs to be solved? I'm using Chrome.

Unfortunately it did not. It took me on a tour of many other forums with people asking variations of the same question. I tried various suggestions from people and it seems I am going in circles. At this point, I have no idea how to get extensions to work in Gnome 3. I've installed lots of stuff but I'm no further along. Gnome 3 is still sitting at the top of my screen.

A quick check indicates that there is no such plugin for chrome.

Presumably it will work if you use the gnome web browser (Epiphany).

That's exactly what my conclusion was as well. There were suggestions how to resolve the issue but none of them worked. I've decided to switch to KDE. It appears to be more mature than it was in CentOS 6 and can be configured easier for my purposes.
