I have a swap partition, when was messing with the boot settings it dropped me into a "very limited shell" and I usef cfdisk to create a swap partiton (around 200mb) and i made a main linux partition (around 5gb). Also while in the shell I installed DSL to the hard drive and attempted to boot from there and got the same results.

DSL will run from only the cd, I tried it on another computer and it ran fine.

Update

Replaced ram chip, found a 256 chip in my junk collection that ive ripped out of other machines given to me. Booted into win98 and the chip works but DSL is still giving me the same error message... what could be the problem?
