Testing users, when do you generally start to use testing after a stable release?

And why? Giving your logic would be helpful.

I tend not to use Testing as when it breaks it tends to do so for longer than Sid.
Don't use either on a "production server" use them to enjoy Linux and keep a backup of anything you care about (if you don't back it up you either don't care about it or you're either irrelevant or deliberately useless).

I never stop using it on 1 machine, just to track what it's looking like. Usually within 5-6 months after the new release I start migrating my other machine(s) back to testing.

My lappy in on perpetual testing. It never goes stable. It's actually a mix of testing and sid.

If I install Debian, I move to Sid as soon as I find time to do so.

I've found Sid to be more stable than most distros' release versions.
