Installing new apps with pkg system

I am having trouble installing any program.
For example, i could download the audacity package, run 'pkg add audacity-2.05-x86_64-1.tlz' and the audacity icon will appear under multimedia in my applications menu.
I will then click on the icon, but nothing will happen.
The program does not start.
I also tested with libreoffice.
I am pretty sure I have thoroughly read through dragora's manuals, especially with the pkg system.
If I am missing something, please forgive me, I am really interested in a libre distro such as this and learning to really maintain one.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Installing new apps with pkg system

You could try to launch the app from the command line and see if there's useful message displayed.

Installing new apps with pkg system

You're missing (at least) a dependency : wxWidget

Install it then retry.

So what's the error now shown?
Did you checked the version of the lib?

I think the dependency you need is:
wxgtk2.8

If you are using the Audacity package from my stable repo all the required dependencies should be located at
http://gungre.ch/dragora/repo/frusen/stable/

Install wxgtk2.8, retry to launch in xterm, and if it's complaining about another dependency, check the stable repo.
