actual study guide for RHCE

4 years ago I took the RHCT exam. I wish to get RHCE. How to prepare without physical course? All study guides on amazon.com seems to be out of date?

Carefully review the exam prep guide here: https://www.redhat.com/training/rhce/examprep.html

To answer your question, I don't know of a current book / guide. I purchased the Red Hat Certified Engineer Linux Study Guide (author: Jang), and it was a major version behind the RHCE exam I sat for. It still helped, though.

One more thing: If you're not a GNU/Linux wizard who knows RHEL inside and out, and if you can't confidently perform every task identified at that Red Hat URL, then I strongly recommend that you take their class offerings. For me they were well worth it.

Just my 5 cents.

I am using the one by Michael Yang for version 3.x. One of the other moderators used the same book and he passed although the exam was based on RHEL 4.x. I have noticed that there is a new version coming out in March 2007 but I don't know if it will cover RHEL 4.x or 5.x.

RHCE Study Guide

Hi,

I have some study guides on RHCE but I guess you have to be fast enough to appear for the exam if not soon RHEL 5.0 going to be up for the exam but not before May or June 2007.

What's the point of this post? Seems like a plug to drive traffic to the site (your own site that is) that is mentioned that really has nothing but links to a different site. Please refrain from making such posts, seems like a crappy way to drive people to your site, which is a form of advertising and against our rules.
