Which distribution have you used during the preparation for Linux+ exam? Which is the most suitable?

Any is really suitable ... But a good choice might be Fedora, Debian for starters... If you like to keep it thin and quick. Go for an Arch or Slax

I'd say go for any SUSE of RedHat distro. As per my experience, those are the most used distros on enterprise wide server installation, like SAP, Oracle, etc.

And normally, those distros are less "GUI oriented" so it forces you into command line administration.

Most businesses use a RedHat based distro, so that would be my number one choice.

1) RedHat Enterprise / CentOS - stable vendor supported , long lifetime 5+ years
2) Fedora / Ubuntu - usable desk top linux, new slightly broken , life time is short < 1 year
3) Gentoo / Slack - for people who enjoy doing everything by hand themselves, geeks and those with too much time and so on.
4) Puppy / DSL - for poeple with only an SD card for a hard drive, or an uber low power pc.
