Unhappy DeepinOS bootable OS not detected on bios (UEFI)

Hi. I have Windows 10 installed on UEFI GPT partition mode in my Acer travelmate laptop. I tried making a bootable USB of deepin using deepin usb maker but my bios doesn't recognize USB.(in the boot menu the USB isn't showing up.)

*I have secure boot disabled*

I tried using Rufus tool to make a bootable usb, this time using MBR partition Scheme for UEfI option. It still didn't detect in bios.

I tried plugging in the USB to my desktop which has windows 10 installed on legacy bios mode and deepin booted up without a problem.

Any help guys ? I will try making a bootable again using Rufus but this time using "GPT scheme for UeFI" option but idk if it will work.
Any help is welcome.

EDIT 1: So I tried creating a bootable using GPT partition Scheme and this time bios did detect the USB. However deepin setup didn't start. The screen flashed a few times (like it was starting the deepinv setup ?) But it ended up loading windows 10

EDIT 2 SOLVED : So after messing with bios all day yesterday I found an option called "f12 boot menu" which I thought was just an ordinary boot menu option ( by default it was disabled so the laptop didn't have any boot menu I always had to go to bios to check if my usb was detected). After enabling it and setting the bios to legacy mode I restarted the computer and to my surprise windows 10 booted. Which shouldnt be possible because it was installed in UEfI mode in got partition Scheme. And another surprise, now when I check bios my usb is detected on both UEfI and legacy mode. This is so weird. I was able to install deepinOS in UEfI mode without a problem.
BUT i don't get the grub boot menu or the windows boot menu to choose the os. It just boot directly to Windows. I have to press f12 to go to bios boot menu and in there I can select "windows boot menu" and "Linux" which is the grub.

That sounds strange, generally you'd at least get a grub error or something. Is this the first time your trying Linux?

Do any other distributions boot? Usually you can find a different distro that actually boots and work off that for debugging the one that didn't.

Well I've been messing around in boot mode yesterday and found boot menu key (f12) and enabled it ( it was disabled by default). Before, I had to go to bios boot order and set the USB to the top and in there "USB HDD" option was blank ( if bios detect the pen then it displays the usb drive name). So after enabling it I just shut down the computer.

Next time I booted and checked the bios it was in legacy mode and windows 10 booted perfectly which was not possible before. Plus now bios detects my usb both on UeFI and legacy mode. This is so weird. So finally I managed to install deepin on UeFI.

But I don't get the grub boot menu or the windows boot menu to select os. It just directly boot to Windows. I have to use f12 boot menu to select Linux and boot to deepinoz

I actually managed to fix it. Added how I did it to the main post.

Great let the fun begin!

You can set the boot order in the bios/UEFI settings, However you might want to wait until you install it, I'm assuming you're dual booting? You can change the boot order back anytime.

Have Fun!
