I'm a raw newbie so forgive me if i'm being stupid.
I tried the apt-get command as you lsted and got:-
root@ubuntu:/home/eric # apt-get install libdvdcss
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Package libdvdcss is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package libdvdcss has no installation candidate

I'm using Ubuntu 5.04 for the AMD64.
Please help as i can't seem to play my DVDs or windows multimedia v9
