You might want to look at this site which tells you how to make your own Pendrive Linux using PCLinuxOS 0.93a mini-me. Using these instructions, with only one difference, I was able to create an extended Pendrive Linux (ie an oversize one with loads of added software) based on PCLinuxOS 2007. The difference is that a package called "mtools" needs to be installed otherwise the "syslinux" command at the end fails.
