Hi there,
I'm working on an embedded linux and I want to speed up the boot process.
Using
http://elinux.org/Boot_Time I already added some improvements but I need help to know what rc scipts I can suppress from boot process or run later or in parallel.
Here are the rc scripts being run:
- mountvirtfs
- bootlogd
- udev
- checkroot.sh
- checkfs.sh
- mountall.sh
- ifupdown => will be run later
- hostname.sh => will be run later
- networking => will be run later
- portmap
- mountnfs.sh => Will be run later (not used in production release)
- bootmisc.sh => ???
- urandom => will be run later
- udevtrigger
Does someone know if I'm right ?
Thanks
