problem in compiling can4linux module
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to know how can i compile and install the can module to my PC104 board. I have done in the following way, is that rite or did i miss some steps. please suggest me. I am using canlinux-3.4.4 driver.
1. I had cross compiled the can4linux using this command:
# make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=/opt/arcom/bin/arm-linux- KDIR=/opt/arcom/src/linux-source-2.6.16.28-arcom1 TARGET=ATCANMINI_PELICAN
2. It will generate the can module can.ko in the current directory, i copied to my arcom PC104 board through SCP command
3. then in the board i installed the module using #insmod can.ko
4. next i run the setup file cansetup to configure the /etc/can.conf in the board. before doing this i copied the 1-PCM3680.conf from the driver etc folder using SCP, & it is written to /etc/can.conf in board which will load while executing the cansetup file.
5. But the message is neither trasmitted nor received(i used same examples provided by you with the driver), but i could read the can ports can0 & can1 in /dev i checked with cat can0 & cat can1.. it will wait for the input.
so where do i am wrong, how the message could be send and received?
Thanks & Best Regards,
