well, thanks again for your help.
Finally i just upgraded my ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10 version and this way i got th e new kernel!
everything works now!!!
So the conclusion is that the driver is included in the kernel 2.6.26, which is in ubuntu 8.10.
the PCI card as well as the HD 500GB work fine!
