"Could not find kernel image: linux"

Sorry, I did not know I had to post a question in English, I'll try to help me with a translator to communicate with you.

when I try to boot the backtrack 5, this is labeled. I read that this is because the boot is not the file extension. Cfg

I try to perform several ways to fix this problem by reading some questions in this forum, but none worked.

what appears on screen is:

"Could not find kernel image: linux"

try to boot two ways, one from a DVD, and the other from a virtualbox

thanks

It sounds like it's not remounting the root filesystem; I had a similar problem with booting off of certain USB drives.. It also sounds as though the image used to burn the dvd was the same as the one used in virtualbox. I would check the downloaded image against its md5 hash, if that hasn't been done. And.. I second the request for English please.

Hello,

Please edit your posts and translate them to English, as that is against forum rules. We are here to help, yes, but not posting in English will not get the proper support that you are looking for.

Cheers,

Josh

Yes, we all know this already. Not to be mean, but I have asked the OP to translate his posts, or else I am reporting this thread.
