"burn" LiveCD onto external harddisk

Okay. I've spend the last hour or so trying to find out how I'm going to do this. So don't say I haven't tried.

Anyway, my problem is this:

I have an laptop computer with no cd-drive nor floppy drive. It currently has Windows XP Professional on it (of which I don't have administration rights to). I'm also in the possession of an external 40 GB USB hard drive.

What I would like to is to install dynebolic (dynebolic[dot]org) onto the internal hard drive. However because dynebolic comes as an liveCD and I no cd drive, I'm pretty much left blank on what to do.

The solution I see is to "burn" the dynebolic liveCD ISO onto the external hard drive and boot from it. Then I hope it should be easy to install it to the internal hard drive.

And although I very much believe this is possible I have no idea how to do it. Also, I would very much welcome any other solutions you may have.

Please remember that I'm currently have no linux installation anywhere, and only has WinXP (currently being the operative word).

Thanks beforehand.

There is a downloadable tool for Windows with which you can "mount" (the Linux term) or extract the contents of the CD image to a folder on your harddisk, and then copy it to another location if you wish. There are probably multiple apps for this, MagicISO is one of them (the website claims it can do such a thing).

I'm not sure if you really can just extract a disc image on your harddisk and then boot from it, but try if you wish.
