toshiba p100


having problems with the sound....when playing any type of audio/video file the audio is vary quiet and cannot be heard vary well the button for the volume is turned up and also the volume from the program is turned up but still the sound is vary quiet and cannot be clearly heard i am using a toshiba sattelite P100......i would appreciate any help thanks

can someone please help me with this i am new to linux and i cannot figure out what the problem is with the volume.....i would appreciate any help..........thanks

Smile try this

Hi

go to the shell and type in 'aumix' without quotes(ofcourse) and change volume levels frm there. Lets c if it helps

Same problem

I am having the same problem on my toshiba p100. That is, the sound output is very low.

Anyone else have issues or know how to solve this?

My low sound is fixed by this patch to alsa.
