Hope he can get his life in order quickly, after all, he started the ball rolling.

(I have never understood why people take time to add insults, rather than just skip by, in textual circumstances.)

Damn. Linus without cursing put-downs to maintainers submitting stupid patches won't be Linus any more.

Hooray. Linux has a Code of Conduct now.

Goodbye, focus on technical merits. Please embrace the new focus on [removed] SJW feminism which has previously killed FreeBSD.

I was wondering if this could be the influence of new "sponsors" [tin foil hat time], Microsoft perhaps?

Agreed, I always appreciated his blunt honesty and strict standard. "Don't F/U userspace" is classic, as were his vents on/about openSUSE and their love affair with all things root (you don't have permission to print).

Here are some new kernel errors to expect:
Code:
"The kernel has stopped this process from continuing because it has been deemed to be sexist"
"Kernel Panic: Check your privilege"

The man command will DEFINITELY be removed , because that wouldn't be gender inclusive at all , now would it?
Code:
man
command not found, please refer to they - you cis-gendered bigot

Sorry, but this is the future.

Reminds me that I need to create a GitLab account to mildly suggest a branch change. They still have a "master" branch...!

Its funny how FORCED diversity tends to have the opposite effect, kinda like oh, I dunno - Affirmative Action? Instead of letting the chips fall where they may and let things develop organically, you get nothing but moral busybodies trying to police everything. Which by the way you see a lot of projection from that side to begin with, accusing everyone of being an ist - sexist, racist, etc. Which makes you wonder, who is REALLY the bigot ?

James Damore did nothing wrong, and with that I will no longer comment on this thread - but I won't apologize for any of my remarks either.
