The decennial celebration continues. We'll pick three members at random who post between now and July 21st. Those members will receive a gratis subscription to Ubuntu User magazine (see http://www.ubuntu-user.com/ for more information). Any valid post made in a forum where posts increment your "post count" will make you eligible.
Congratulations to the following members, who have won a gratis subscription to Linux Pro Magazine.

You folks made my week!
Really, it makes me feel better. I have not won anything that I wanted for years and years.
JICYAW if a rag always trips my trigger, as an old GF used to say(waaaay too much) no, I'm geeky(what engineer is not?) but not THAT geeky. It was a bad week primarily 'cause work week ended so badly ...ISP problems(liars & morons ... ).
Wow, nice offer guys! I know I'm a lurker but I have often found valuable solutions to problems on this site. Thank you. I will try to come out more often.

This all seems a little chaotic. - much like a lot of Ubuntu (sorry to say). I'd like it to work. The concept is admirable, but the product is not wonderful. New version after new version is churned out with the same/different/unresolved/new bugs. Just because it is free does not mean it has to be less than perfect. Open Office is a case in point.
The bugs that were there 5 years ago have not been fixed. They probably never will be.
They make futuristic movies just about this kind of mindset. Think of Brazil for example.
It can take me anything up to 4 hours to find where to post. Then when I find where, I have either lost the thread or forgotten what I was going to ask.
My life is really to short for it all.
