Exclamation FC5 wlan adapter trouble

I am new to linux, having just installed Fedora core 5. I have a linksys wusb11 2.6 adapter. So far I have downloaded at76c503 in a tar.gz file and I'm not sure where to go from there. Please help.

gzip -d theFileYouDownloaded.tar.gz
tar -xvf theFileYouDownloaded.tar

cd theDirectory

Then read README, INSTALL or something like.
