Wireless networking : To get usb wireless adapter working

Hi,

I've a desktop (Linux machine)connected to internet via adsl modem. I would to use wireless usb adapter that attach to my desktop for my laptop to connect to internet. I managed to install the wireless driver but need assistant to configure the network sharing.

http://slackwiki.org/index.php/Wifi might help, although it is centered around Slackware. It may help, though.

Have you done the configuration stuff using iwconfig?

The steps as I understand them after getting the driver installed is to configure the device using iwconfig (the ndiswrapper website's installation instructions goes over this pretty good) and then to configure it using your distro gui tools or messing with the ifcfg-wlan0 file (located in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ in Fedora Core 5).
