Hello LQ,
I have been looking for a good GNU/Linux forum, and while I considered the Debian forum (Guess what my Distro is), I decided I would do better with a more general forum. Also, I'm interested in mostly every version of *NIX, so I would be able to help out other users.

Currently, I am working on Python skills, with past knowledge of C and C# (I Had to! School). And, I use Emacs.

I run Debian Lenny with XFCE on an Acer Aspire One (netbook/Eee), using the newest kernel (so I don't have to use the madwifi proprietary binary blob).

I prefer BSD over System V. Gentoo *is* currently my favorite distro, though the r8169 module for ethernet wouldn't work, so there was no was to install it. And now I'm to comfy to change. :P

Politically, in case anyone here cares, I am a Marxist-Leninist (eg. Communist) and now long time Party member. I spend a lot of time on Palestinian-Solidarity work.

Comradely,
Red_Shadow
