scottcasey LQ Newbie Registered: Jul 2014 Posts: 12 Rep:	A big thanks Thanks for the two guys who gave me good advice through this forum,yancek & redd9.i finally was able to do what you suggested yancek,reinstll 12.04.today i connected online to do all the updates for packages etc,and all completed perfectly,i'm really happy with the outcome.its certainly a lot more enjoyable surfing the net on an os that is updated and working smoothly,thanks again,scott
