"foum jump" selection/page layout suggestion/idea

Maybe i'm just lazy, but I dislike having to scroll past the quick post box to be able to go back to the forum i was in, so my suggestion would be, if you even have this sort of control, to move this button up, above the quick post, say across from where the new post button is.

If you're only wanting to return to the same forum, why not just use the back button on your browser or the path link at the top of the page?

Thanks for the feedback. Based on usage, the QRB is much more likely to be used that the forumjump at that point in the page. We have no plans to change the layout at this time.

dragon: i do do that, alot actually, my general surfing patern goes something like this:

refresh LQ>>new thread to read>>back button>>next new thread>>back>>next new thread (etc)>> realize im getting low on new reply...

It's at this point that i tend to use the forum jump, as i dont often have anything to contribute (i dont care what my title says, im still a newbie!) so at this point, its either click the button, or back +refresh.. (did i mention an occasional lazy streak? )

But it seems jeremy is happy with the current plans, since i'm probably the only one that even knows that the option is all the way down there

You still have the path link at the top of the page which will refresh on return. (That's what I use, because you're right-- At least I didn't know the forum jump was down there!)

Cheers
