Up to date, my problem was with 4 finalized Memorex DVD-RW from my PVR (Samsung DVD-R120)
Hmmm, I try with a DVD-R recorded from the same PVR, I got the message "cannot read super block" in konsole when I try to access the media. In this case, auto mount haven't mounted the drive, I do it manually.
I try also with an unfinalized Sony DVD-RW and got the same result as the 4 Mawell. Auto mount worked well.
Note: I have passed udf_tester(udfct_1.2r2) on the DVD-RW and it sees the UDF 2.0
Here's an extract of udf_tester result:

Yes, it's a possible. I don't have the UDF knowledge but i have downloaded the specification from OSTA's Web site.
If UDF have his own permission, is there a way to ignore those permission when mounting the media.
Another track i will explore, it's HAL to see if the mapping hardware/specific driver(or config) is OK. I have a doubt about HAL because DVD-R media isn't recognized.
Ah. So it's just the particular ones burned with your PVR? I can't imagine udf actually having a permissions setting. Hrmm, I'll look into it and post back here if I can find anything.
I don't know if it's limited only to the one burned by my spcific PVR (Samsung DVD-R120) because I don't have other DVD-rw from other PVRs to test.
Here is the content of file "00macros.conf" I found in /etc/makedev.d/, I will googled to be sure if it's really THE PLACE to set what we are searching for. At first look, it's promising ;-)

I think makedev, which the 00macros.conf file is related, is used for static mounting.
I'm looking udev, and try to configure a rules file for udev, in etc/udev/rules.d/ directory. I have created a file name 10-mdk.rules which should be read before the default file 50-mdk.rules.
I try to fing how to write the rules for the specific media, DVD-RW, not just for the drive "hda".
