I am getting this error while upgrading from 2011 to 2012:

"The following package (free-kde4-config) cannot be installed because it depends on packages that are older than the installed ones."

I searched and haven't found a solution yet but I would think someone has come across this issue... anyone here have the solution?

Also I can't figure out how to find the dependencies for free-kde4-config (or any rpm package). I've been reading up on rpm and urpmi but I can't see how to determine the dependencies of a package. Is there another package that does this?

I hope this is what you need, to at least determine RPM dependencies.

I got the following information from this page:

in this command, package is to be replaced with the actual package name:

it appears that the command output should show the RPM's that the particular package requires.
