MLED - new Virtualbox Kernel Module needed for Kernel 4.4.29
Hello kikinovak,
saw your posts in the DirtyCow Kernel Bug thread and thought
i should inform you, that a new Version of the Virtualbox Kernel
Module is needed, for the new Slackware 4.4.29 Kernel. Without it
your Virtualbox Packages do not work.
I looked up the repository and did not find a newer Version, so
maybe its a good Info for your MLED followers and You.

Hi codix,
Yeah, I know. Unfortunately I can't devote much time for MLED now, since I'm having some financial problems and I have to take up every paying job I can find. I'll keep you posted.
Try this (it works for me). Make sure all vbox modules are stopped (I usually do it immediately after a reboot after installing the new Slackware kernel) and recompile the VirtualBox kernel. As root:
Code:
cd /etc/rc.d
./rc.vboxdrv setup
It will remove the existing VirtualBox kernel modules and replace them.

Doesn´t work here: Not implemented! Please use the virtualbox-kernel.SlackBuild available at SlackBuilds.org instead.
I build a new package, using MLED´s original Slackbuild.
