Can somebody tell me why can't I install CentOS 4.4 on this machine?

First, CentOS 4 is old...I believe the latest is 5.3, which may make your problems go away right off the bat.

Note: This server machine uses raid controller (I don't know what is this)

No offense, but if you don't know what a RAID controller is, why do they have you building a server? Chances are, you're missing the RAID driver, which means the installer isn't seeing any hard drives. No hard drive = no installation.
If you're installing to RAID, you have to (usually), go into the RAID BIOS first, and create the array, and initialize it. After that, the installer will see the drive you created, and install to it...providing the module is loaded. This isn't unique to Linux, either...Windows will often need a 'driver disk' to be installed. Most installer routines will have some sort of option, to allow you to manually load drivers, before the installer starts. They're usually menu-based too, so look for the SCSI/RAID controller section, and try to load a module...the one you need depends on your RAID hardware.
