RHN account overview shows 1 sub available and RHN update install can't find
My RHN account overview indicates 1 active subscription, 0 entitled subscriptions, and 1 available to entitle.
I am in the process of reloading RH onto a different computer and have unentitled the old machine on line at RHN. When attempting to authorize the new install with RHN for updates, I receive a screen stating that I have no active subscriptions available in my account. I am assuming that I have missed a step. This is my first install. Any help will be appreciated.

Hate to sound like I'm brushing you off, but you'd be much better off contacting RedHat about this.
Since this is your first install, they can walk you through this over the phone, get account names/contact info modified, etc. They can also explain what the different subscriptions/entitlements mean, and when the contracts expire (important if you want to continue to receive updates.)
Thanks for at least posting a reply. I have paid RH for phone support and have not received an answer to even one question in the past 3 months. They always tell me that "This is not something that we support". I was feeling pretty good that I would at least be able to reload RH onto a different server and solve the problems I was encountering which included: would not update and constantly throwing errors. Much to my surprise I still cannot update but I do not have errors. You are correct that it would be much easier to ask RH and I will contact them on Monday and hope for a return call by Tuesday and with luck be able to present this as a supported issue. at this point I believe that the problem is in their authentication software which determines that I do not have a license that can be entitled. I posted this thread just in case someone knew of my mistake or a work around. Thanks again.
I believe that the conclusion you reached is correct. They have to check/reset your account is you have problems on two different machines with single account.

No problem, and I agree with DrLove73...this is definitely a RedHat issue, that only THEY can deal with. Some things, though, aren't..like if you call them for a MySQL question, they'll tell you to get stuffed, as quickly as MS would if it was running on Windows. But RHN stuff is their responsibility.
As another path, you may want to find out who your local/district sales rep is, and call them to complain about lack of service. If they think they'll lose a customer, they'll be on you like a rash. Mention you're thinking of migrating to SUSE Enterprise...
Just a tip, make sure you are looking under Subscription Management -> Software Channel Entitlements and look for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (core server) entitlement counts (available, consumed, etc). Red Hat support pointed me to this spot the last time I thought I had available entitlements but was unable to register a system.
I spoke with Red HAt today. The problem was that even though I had unentitled the old system I had not deleted the old system from the Channels and the old system was still on the only channel that my subscription allowed me to use. I deleted the old system from the channel in RHN support and all is now working well. Thanks to all that tried to help !!
