/etc/file/magic.mgc is created by the install script of package file. It's not in the package to be extracted by xz.

Code:
a/upower-1.90.4-x86_64-1.txz: Upgraded.
I thought this one was a no-go? They fix the problem with systemd dependence?

qt6-6.7.0 work fine here on current, and the latest plasma6 also with it:

i use one patch for qt6-base (this patch is used by arch and opensuse tumbleweed):

https://code.qt.io/cgit/qt/qtbase.gi...h/?id=68102202

qt6-base need also to add this sed line in the SlackBuild, 'sed -i '/zstd CONFIG/d' cmake/FindWrapZSTD.cmake' (thank opensuse)

# Work around an issue with zstd CMake files (boo#1211566)
# TODO: Remove when the issue is fixed

this is needed because qt6-tools, failed to build with 'zstd-1.5.6'

@USUARIONUEVO @henca @Petri Kaukasoina

well after playing with sudo time installpkg --threads 2 libreoffice.txz

htop only see 1 core working
TIME see 98% cpu usage (Only 63% with a smaller archive imagemagick)
with --threads 2 or --threads 1, TIME give the same time.

Conclusion (beware I am particularly good for doing misinterpretation)
-hdd bottleneck (3 1/2 7200rpm 256Mo cache 100Mo/s...) ?
-to be able to use the decompression multithread, the archive must be created with -t2 or more ?

This thread might not be the right place for support questions about installpkg, xz and performance. People will probably be more willing trying to help in a separate thread.

Furthrr to my previous request to add qdvdauthor into slackware.

Roland Suchan is making tremendous strides in upgrading qdvdauthor
to use qt6 instead of qt3 which was required for the original.

https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...t5-4175627138/

Sooooo... when his new qdvdauthor is complete... it would make a great addition to -current.

It already works great on -current with qt6 and has just few little differences
in operation from the original which required the addition of qt3 from SBo
https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1...ia/qdvdauthor/
____________

The WIP qdvdauthor v2.4.1 in operation built on and running on slackware64-current.

http://glennmcc.org/Qdvdauthor-2.4.1.webm

The original qdvdauthor v2.3.0 in operation built on slackware64-14.0 and now running on slackware64-current.

http://glennmcc.org/Qdvdauthor-2.3.0.webm

Thanks. For some reason I keep running into this (both the upstream 6.7.0 and also pulled from KDE's git):

Code:
../../../../../../qtwebengine/src/3rdparty/chromium/third_party/mesa_headers/../../../../../../qtwebengine/src/3rdparty/chromium/ui/gl/gl_display.cc:945:10: error: x11 has not been declared
  945 |   return x11::Connection::Get()->GetXlibDisplay();

Hi, Pat, I build qt in separate packages, one module, one SlackBuild, because with the big SlackBuild the compilation often fails here.

Open MPI

Hi, there are problems for adding Open MPI in Slackware? ( https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1...search=openmpi )
This package is needed as build/run dependency for many third parts packages and could increase the features of FFTW3, useful for many third part software used in research and technical areas, by adding the support to MPI-2 implementation with the option --enable-mpi in configure (this builds additional libraries and headers that include the support of fftw3 to MPI)

Thanks for your attention
