just installed vector linux 5 which I'm quite happy with so far though when I try to access my usb pen drive I'm unable to do it.

I try clicking on the incon on the desktop and get an error message saying "No Pendrives Found".

So going into emelfm I right click on the folder "pendrive" or "usbstorage" and click mount though I get this message

mount: can't find /mnt/pendrive in /etc/fstab or etc/mtab

the one explanation I've managed to come up with so far is that the os doesn't have the available drivers though using Dam Small Linux and Mandrake/Mandriva over the last year I've had no problems with this

not sure if it's a silly mistake I've made though any feedback, suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

You either have to log in as root to get permission to access the usb drive or sudo in to get permission to access the usb drive.

I had the same issue until I logged in as root to set the access permissions on my usb drive.

I seem to have a habit of making these silly mistakes
