Auto Login in LastPass sure is nice! Just click on the site in LastPass and it does all the rest!
I dump all my cookies when I close Firefox.

I just received the notification from LQ and went to the main site to login. Login worked as usual, so no problems here.

Login worked normally for me, but the cookies that keep me logged in afterwards didn't work until I used the 'remove cookies' link in the front page. So from my point of view, the situation seems to have been handled.

Thanks Jeremy and everyone else involved.

Hi,

First of all, I had no problems logging in. But then I also started with no LQ cookies. (Deleting all LQ cookies after logging out has been SOP for me for several (?) years since I found I had fewer problems that way.)

I haven't managed to find much time for LQ as of late so I recieved one of those emails wanting to make sure I wasn't having trouble logging in. After logging in, out of curiousity I naively followed both links in the email. One link was to this thread and the other link was the page that was supposed to clear cookies. (OOPS ) Being the skeptic that I am, I checked and I appeared to still be logged in, so I guess it didn't delete all cookies -- unless it was only supposed to delete the "old style" cookies. I currently have 5 cookies from LQ.

I should tell you this is on a Mozilla 1.4 browser, which, needless to say, is a bit out of date. So perhaps that accounts for cookies not being cleared. I don't know if it relates to what some people are reporting wrt the code upgrade, but the reason I am in the habit of clearing all LQ cookies when logging off, is because (for maybe several years?) I have found that if I do not do that, I tend to get logged off shortly after logging in.

Thanks for security upgrade. I hope my info was useful.

EDIT/UPDATE: When I checked prior to first making this post, I did indeed only have 5 cookies from LQ. When I went to clear cookies after logging out, there were 20 cookies from LQ!

Actually, the link was supposed to delete all cookies; It just didn't work for everyone, but since you already delete cookies, you wouldn't have an issue, anyway.

Cheers

I noticed no problem logging in... Would I be correct in understanding that users are having problems in not being able to be logged in 'long-term'?
At any rate, I received the email concerning the possibility of my not being able to log in...
Well, I obviously can...
Thanks for the notice.

I didn't have any issues logging in. Actually I have been away for a while. I just wanted to chime in to assist with any troubleshooting for other users.
